Easter x3

Hello everyone! No I have not gone into hiding; April has been a very busy month for me with my husbands 30th birthday coming up and my sisters baby shower as well as other events. We had three easter this yr; the first one was a Charles siblings... Here are a few of the highlights from the night.
the yummy food!!!!
cousins having fun together!
finding the easter eggs!

For Easter breakfast I wanted to make french toast but, part of the eggs got frozen so we had this instead - still good though
For dinner I didn't make ham cause we had it the week before and after so I make some yummy fried chicken  (don't worry I do eat potatoes with gravy). We didn't do egg coloring or an egg hunt.
Now onto the ogden family easter party... The kids getting ready to find the eggs.
Carter would pass eggs to find the perfect egg.

Camelback Hike

On friday (a week ago), we hiked Camelback. I have never hiked the hard side before - it was beautiful and I was very tired after.

Charles carried Carter the whole way!! (my computer is not letting me rotate the pic). Also Carter kept turning back and motioning me to hurry up.

This part was very steep and made me very nervous!

St Patty's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! So I found this idea on pinterest and wanted to do it. Charles thought I was silly for doing it, but we're making memories and starting our own tradioins as a family! So here's Carter finding the goodies, he was mainly interested in the pennies. P.S. the mint bag was green.
Later that day we went to Fountain Hills, where they turn the fountain green, it was nice and very breezy day. We brought a kite and had fun flying it!

Have a LUCKY day!!! :)

My little corner

One thing I have been wanting in my room is shelfs and it finally happened!!!

Here's my little scrapbooking corner, not much since Carter's bed is on the other side of the room. Some day I will have my own room like you see in all over the internet. Charles actually wants me to design it which makes me very happy and can't wait, but it will be several years down the road.

Here's  another picture of the room. I will admit scrapbooking is my addiction, I don't buy as much as I use too. I do try to keep up with the latest trends by making my own, it is fun but takes extra time. I love it and love seeing peoples expression when they see my creation. Like this picture...

When Charles and I got married , we got invited to this girls baptism. I scrapbook/framed her invitation. We had to leave early but I wanted to see their reaction. When she opened it, everyone's jaw dropped - I thought it was funny!!!

Goodwill finds!!!

So today I went to Goodwill mainly because it was 50% off today. I  mainly wanted to get this shutters that I found awhile back, but it was already gone. I am SUPER excited about my finds, and can't wait to start working on the projects. I will let you in on just my idea of what I am going to do. The two baskets are going to be our easter basket, the clipboard I am going to scrapbok it. The foam balls - I have several ideas for that as well as the foam wreath. I want to make Carter a quiet book, so I was excited to find the felt, and the picture frames - not exactly sure what i am going to do with them but I LOVE finding cute picture frames!!!

March craft #2

So I originally had pictures of how I made these but I can't seem to get them off my phone. So this is what I did, folded your paper long ways like a hot dog and cut strips of paper with the fold - I believe it came out to be 1/2 in wide, also you will need 4 strips to make one. Also cut out another strip but don't fold it just yet. If you have a small stapler it will help for the next part.Take the end parts and bring them together to make the curve part and staple together or glue (that's what I did), they will look like hearts. After you make 4 of these staple/glue the bent part together. Before you staple/glue the last one, take your last piece of paper and make a triangle. I just put my ends pieces together and just guessed. And this is what I did with all my shamrocks!!!

March Craft

I found this picture  frame at one of my favorite stores Goodwill! I was going to use it to put my family picture in it but decided I liked this idea. I wanted to make something each month that would have a saying to go with each month. It was quick and easy to do. For the word 'lucky' I used my Storybook Cricut cartridge, for the shamrocks I got the stencil from my old work, but I am sure you can find one anywhere. I had my son Carter paint them two different color green and added gold glitter on the edges when is was done drying. And for the yellow swirls, I used a stencil of mine, I also added glitter around the words and the swirl. I liked how it turned out and can't wait to work on Aprils!!!
